All Saints Church History
On Wednesday, the children took part in a visit to the church to learn a little bit more about its history. All Saints Church is celebrating its 850th anniversary this year, so it was an ideal opportunity to enrich the children's history curriculum by delving into some local knowledge. Church warden, Bryan Pickering, and local historian, Jane Walker, very kindly put on two really informative sessions teaching the children about the history of the church, and pointing out lots of fascinating details that many of us probably haven't noticed on our visits to church. We are really grateful to Bryan and Jane for providing the children with this lovely learning experience.
