Year 2 & Year 4 - Speed Stacking

On Wednesday morning, a team of Year 4 children went to the live Speed Stacking 2025 finals in Stevenage.  The children had already worked hard to perfect their skills and to improve their speed and had been selected based on timed competitions at school.  It was a wonderful morning with all the children showing excellent hand-eye coordination, quick reactions and fantastic focus.

After a morning of tight competition, everyone managed to leave with smiles and medals! A massive well done to the Year 4 team with the girls placing 2nd in the relay, the boys coming 3rd and the mixed relay also finishing 3rd.  Particular mention should go to Archie  who came in 2nd place in the individual competition.

On Wednesday afternoon, a group of children from Class 2 enjoyed a speed stacking event run by Stevenage Sporting Futures. The children approached every task set with a huge smile, teamwork and a positive attitude. They did a great job of building towers, traditional speed stacking and building a house from giant cups for all of them to stand in. They represented the school brilliantly and were presented with the ‘Determination Award’ at the end of the event. Well done!
