Year 2 & Year 5 - Zoo trip

On Tuesday, Year 2 and Year 5 went on a trip to Hertfordshire Zoo. 

Year 2 had a great day exploring all the different animals and completing a quiz as they went. They found out lots of interesting facts about meerkats, lions, capybaras and of course penguins. They had giant smiles on their faces all day! The children represented our school amazingly and all members of staff were incredibly proud of them.

Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Hertfordshire Zoo.  They gathered lots of interesting facts about the animals and created beautiful posters back in class.  As well as learning about lifecycles this year, we have had lots of discussions about conservation and keeping animals in captivity through some of the texts we have studied in English.  So our zoo visit prompted the children to think about lots of their learning in context.

Our PTFA contributed £800 to this trip enabling us to subsidise the cost to parents. Thank you.
