Year 3 - Art

This term Year 3 have been learning about rivers in geography.

To link to this topic, they have looked closely at Claude Monet's River Thames paintings in art. They experimented with colour mixing and tried to match the colours that Monet used in his paintings to extend the original picture. They used watercolour paints to copy Monet's impressionistic style and used short, dabbing brushstrokes to create texture. Their paintings really do look amazing up on the wall now they are all finished!   Well done Year 3!
