Year 3 - French Ice-creams

A wonderful time was had by all on Tuesday afternoon as our Year 3 linguists used the language skills they had learned this half term in their French topic 'Les Glaces' (Ice Creams) to order their own ice creams. Excitement was high as the children had one last practice and then came up in pairs to order from Mrs Morrison in her hastily constructed ice cream parlour! They had a choice of 'un cornet' or 'un petit pot' from which to eat their 'glace à la vanille', 'glace au chocolat', 'glace à la fraise' or 'glace au caramel' and many also chose to have their ice cream enhanced with a swirl of caramel sauce! Well done to all the children in Year 3 for their confident use of French in a real-life setting and thank you to Mr S for being a brilliant waiter. Bravo tout le monde!
