Year 6 - Indoor Rowing

Yesterday afternoon, Class 6 took part in a rowing workshop with FitKidz. First of all, they played a fishing game which required tactics and strategy. Standout performances during this activity came from Rupert, who scored 1185 points and was the highest scoring overall and Florence, who scored 810 points and was the highest scoring girl. After that, all the children completed a minute sprint race, which required very effective rowing technique. Alfie was able to row 240m in a minute and got the furthest of all the boys and Madison managed to row 242m in a minute! The coach said that between 180m and 200m was average for their age and everyone managed to achieve this.  Well done Year 6.
