Year 6 - SATs

Congratulations to Year 6 who completed their SATs this week.  Whilst we know that the tests only measure a small part of each child’s achievements and successes at primary school, it was wonderful to see how the class worked hard all week to show off what they are able to do in mathematics, reading, grammar and spelling and also how well they supported each other.  Every child did their very best and we are extremely proud of the  progress that they have all made. 

Thank you to all parents who have given such positive support to their children.  Thank you also to Mrs Goodwin who kept the children fuelled up by providing home-baked treats which were enjoyed by the class during the week.

I am sure that you will appreciate how hard everyone has worked, not only to prepare children for the tests but also to ensure that a balance has been maintained with other subjects in the curriculum.  A huge thank you to Mrs Plester and Mrs Morrison who provided a breakfast snack and some morning preparation before school each day and ensured that all children were calm and in a position to show their best.  Well done Year 6.
