Our Reading Curriculum

At All Saints, Datchworth, the teaching of English is the foundation of our curriculum. Our goal is to inspire a love of English language and literature within our pupils.

We aspire to be a school where all pupils become enthusiastic and critical readers and are able to express their ideas, thoughts and feelings with confidence – both orally and in writing. Proficiency in English empowers children and is a prerequisite for educational and social progress.
